Music at Mela: Downtown Destination for Asheville Music

September 24, 2017

Prepare to be Entertained

Friday nights just got far more exciting. With the introduction of Music at Mela, downtown Asheville just gained another great spot to catch some live music. On select Friday nights we’ll be hosting local musicians to play in our spacious dining area. Earlier this month Jordan Okrend Experience rocked the house with contemporary jazz. September 29th, Jesse Barry, who you may remember from American Idol, will be filling the walls with soulful blues and harmonic vocals.

Dinner and a Show

With free admission it’s hard to say no to great live music. Add this to incredible cuisine with a contemporary, fully-stocked bar and you’ve got the makings of a night you won’t soon forget. We’ll be offering our full dinner menu until 10. It’s chocked full of seasonal specials such as Malai Kofta, delicious potato and paneer cheese dumplings in a hearty sauce, that are perfect for fall nights. Can’t make it in time for dinner? Don’t worry! We have a late-night menu that will make you rethink bar food. Warning: Tandoori wings may change your life! Wings aren’t your thing? We have something to please every palate including vegetarian and vegan options as well.

Cocktails as Cool as Jazz

Music isn’t the only thing new this week. Mela’s bartenders are set to blow you away with their new cocktail menu. While preserving some of the favorites, many new imbibements are set to take the show. “In the Clouds” is a testament to the shift from summer to the cooler months. If Ramos’ Gin Fizz and the Aviation had a baby it would taste something like this. Floral, bright flavors of summer meet the cooling crispness of fresh Rosemary in this creamy delight.

Music typically starts around 8 and goes until Midnight. Be sure to check our Facebook page for accurate, up-to-date information on individual events.
